Speak Now is the title track from Taylor's third album, Speak Now. The single was released on October 5th, just prior to the album. Taylor has said of the songs on the album, "Each song is a different confession to a person" so who do you think the lyrics to Speak Now where inspired by? Happy Valentine's day

Yo. Just now, I got something good on the net. Have a read.

Every year without fail we will start seeing articles condemning Valentine’s Day as a day that should not be celebrated by Muslims in Malaysia. One of the most used and rehashed (they rehashed the article annually since god knows when) story is St Valentine was a martyr who died helping the Christians took over Cordoba from the Muslims during Queen Isabella’s reign. Because of his sacrifice the day that he was buried is celebrated as St Valentine’s Day. Because of this Valentine’s Day is "haram" to most Muslims as celebrating it is akin to celebrating the downfall of Muslim empire in Spain. Sounds plausible right? Nope it's WRONG and pure fiction.

First of all there is no St Valentine in Spain during Queen Isabella's (1451 –1504 AD) lifetime . In fact the only Valentine in Spain history was the brother of Saint Fructus, who died stopping the Moor's advance into Spain in 751AD. This is a discrepancy of over 700 years between the supposed “Valentine” who helped defeat the Muslims (The Moors) and the St Valentine during Queen Isabella's reign. Saint Fructus and his brothers' sacrifice are remembered every October 24 ,during the St Fructus Feast Day. So clearly this is not the Valentine that we are looking for.

In Christendom history, there have been 7 recorded St Valentines and 11 separate Valentine’s Day that occurred on different days throughout the year. THE first Valentine’s Day was in honour of Valentine of Rome (also known as Valentine of Terni) who was a priest who was martyred in 269AD. Not much is known about this St Valentine other than he was a priest who was buried in Via Flaminia on the 14th of February. The lack of background story regarding this first St Valentine lead historians to believe that Valentine’s Day was created to suppress the pagan celebration of Lupercalia, a very ancient Roman pastoral festival, observed on February 13 through February 15 to avert evil spirits and purify the city. If you haven't already know, early Roman Christians assimilated their pagan celebrations with their Christian beliefs. For example the pagan celebration of sun worshipping on 25th of December is converted into Christmas day despite Jesus actually born on 17th of June. It also should be noted that the early Valentine’s day had nothing to do with love nor romance. This brings us to the modern day’s version of Valentine's day.

It is generally accepted that the modern VDay celebration started in the 19th century when a woman by the name of Esther Howland started designing cards for VDays. The celebration started in England before spreading around the world like it is today. In the 1950’s lovers started exchanging more than just cards and the commercialisation of VDay as we know it today started. In the 1980’s DeBeers started linking diamonds with VDays and many men end up broke so that their significant others may have the in vogue diamond VDay gift.

As you can see the modern day VDay is now perverted beyond recognition from it's Christian (or is it Pagan?) origin. I would say that the modern day VDay is not even the same VDay as celebrated in 269AD or Rome for that matter. The date and name might be the same but the one being celebrated now is totally different. Sort of how Christmas and Easter are now considered “not Christian enough" by fundamentalist Christians.

Thanks to commercialism, a lot of the religious celebration is now no more than a day for capitalists to make a quick buck out of them. Only in VDay can you see a man buying roses and chocolates at twice the normal price. Free market can be such a dick come Valentine’s Day!

So why do we keep seeing the factually wrong article in MUSLIM OWNED newspaper when VDay is just days away? I guess this is another case of fictional oral history being passed around for years and years before eventually accepted as fact. The fact that it's repeatedly printed in magazines, newspaper and forwarded emails only reinforce the idea that the story is legit.

Majlis Fatwa should issue fatwas on playing mercun during Ramadan and the two hari rayas. Using the same arguments they used against Valentine, I say a ban on it is long overdue. First of all the tradition of burning fireworks is heretical in origin. The Chinese believe that by setting of fireworks they can ward off evil spirits. This is clearly not in line with the holy Islamic beliefs. Only ayat al quran can ward off evil spirits. Not carbide and manganese stuffed into cylindrical rockets! Furthermore plenty able bodied Muslims were killed and maimed due to home made mercuns. To add to this, the burning of fireworks disturbs the sleep of many Malaysia regardless of religion. They are just bloody annoying.
Now, ingat tak apa yang aku kata bila kita jumpa satu benda di internet? Hell yeah. Kaji. Kaji the damn thing. So, this time, aku nak korang baca article di atas yang di tulis oleh Mr Obefied. Then kaji sendiri. Asyik aku je nak kaji. Lemak ah. Then, bila dah kaji tu, terus comparekan pasal fakta yang di keluarkan di surat kabar, facebook dan majalah termasuk majalah Al-Islam.

(Actually, aku rasa aku pernah bagi tau yang aku tak suka majalah Al-Islam sebab fakta kat dalam tu banyak yang mengarut. Ada hari tu, aku baca satu article sampah yang di ambil dari internet. Sejak tu, no way aku akan baca Majalah Al-Islam. Majalah Solusi jauh lagi bagus)

And then, selepas dah puas kaji, korang decide lah sendiri samaada korang patut boikot VDay, atau pun enjoy it dengan pasangan korang yang tak mutlak tu. TAPI, how if kalau dah kahwin? VDay adalah haram sebab ianya seolah-oleh mengajak pasangan bukan muhrim berdua-duaan. So, andai kata korang dah kahwin, tak apa ke keluar pada 14 February, check in for a honeymoon-pakage, get naked in bath tub and then make some babies. Is it okay for married couple? Its okay? Tak haram? Hey, 14 February is Valentine's Day lah. Mana boleh keluar. Nanti di kira sebagai menyambut!


FALL IN LOVE

I never felt in love so deep with any human being before. Love seem not interested to stop by my heart and knock-knock, to see whether it is already occupied or not. I watched my friends fall in love, crying over someone they love and the most feared thing, break ups.

I'm no Dr.Love but I think everybody have the right to speak and talk about love, as long as they don't cross the line. Whether its poured from their experiences or just by watching others, it doesn't matter.


As far as I could remember, I never felt like I see someone and quickly the feeling of want to get to know them arise. Never. I don't know whether it's normal or not but that's the fact. There's a person who immediately fall for someone just by looking at their faces and there is also those who are completely not attracted by all the physical qualities but more to get to know the person first, face to face. I don't know which group I belong to but sometimes I do judge people by how they look like.


I once asked my friend what it's like to travel more than 50km every week just to see his girlfriend. Don't they get bored or tired? Don't they afraid that they gonna lost the sweetness of being in a relationship once they are married? All my questions here don't have the A and B answer. Its a subjective matter and every person have different views on things. I think the solution to these never-ending problems is to actually search for the right person and have a relationship with every women that you think might have potential to be your steady soul mate.

The gallery can have lots of sections as: anime girls, anime guys, anime elfs, anime nature, anime cibi version of the anime characters, funny anime pictures, anime gifs, anime wallpapers etc... and in time, after lots of pictures will be posted, maybe we will sort the pictures after the anime, like for example Anime girls from School Rumble.... well, i think it's a good idea, but what do you think?

Honestly, me too i only read mangas when I hear from someone that the story is wonderful or if i really like the story and the anime isn't made yet I like manga because it has something special, it captivates me, but my lazyness wins almost every time ... I think i like moving pictures more

 

  Actually, these can be made with Image Ready and other GIF creators from any previous onion head pictures
or even the comic strips. I would put some here, but the img code is disabled. Using Image Ready, you can take
an image, crop it, resize it, and then you have to lay out the animation frames, animate, tweak and tweak a little
more, and....waaaalahhhh...you have new animated avatars. I have some made from the comic strips and other
pics I've found along the way. There are tons of stuff out on the net relating to onion tou, but again....

if you want to find anything, you have google in Chinese.
